Elvis Presley

I created this portrait of Elvis with drawing pencils. The shirt was the most tedious because of the detail of the striped design. I utilized the shading technique to get many effects such as the shine on his hair, the shadow of his chin, and the details of his face. I used a picture of him from the internet to copy in a larger form. To make every part of this portrait to scale, I drew 1' x 1' boxes on the image from the internet. On this larger paper, I made 2' x 2' boxes and that allowed me to make the copy as similar  to the original image as possible.
