Own Choice
For my own choice, I did a 2-way perspective painting of buildings. It was much like my other 2-way perspective drawing, except I painted it instead of using pencil. I used all different colors for the buildings and used black paint for the windows. It took me the longest to paint the buildings because I had to shade the corners where the light doesn't hit.
Skateboard
For my skateboard, I made an eagle flying through the sky. We were supposed to use only two colors plus black and white. I used pink and blue. I thought it would be cool to make the eagle a unique color, so that is why I made it pink. I wanted to do a picture of something that is long horizontally and I thought of a bird with its with its wings spread out. So, that is how I chose to do an eagle.
Book pages
For this project, we were supposed to use pages from books and look for words that could be strung together or meaningful phrases. I painted all of mine and used mixed media for two of them from various magazines. In the first picture, I painted the book page white, except for a few words that I painted around. I splattered red paint and made tears in the paper to make it look like it had been torn up. In the second picture, I used reds and oranges because they are warm colors and used magazine cut-outs of various pictures. The third picture, I used a magazine picture of the world. I used blue and green for the outside colors because they represent the earth. The forth picture is a picture of Santa Clause because the words on my page explained Santa and what he does.
